Recently I came across the website, The Balcony Gardener, who have such a lovely collection of floral inspired products…
I love the packaging on their limited edition flower seed packets, which include Wildflower Seeds, Scented Flower Seeds and Butterfly Garden Seeds.
The wildflowers inspiration came from Liberty prints, the scented version is 70s inspired and the butterfly packet is inspired by paper cut-outs.
These limited edition seeds have apparently made quite an impact and were quickly picked up by Liberty and Anthropologie stores in London. People love the bright colours of the packets and they make the perfect small gift too.
Here’s a little bit of background about the company…
The Balcony Gardener was started two years ago by Isabelle Palmer. Isabelle lives in a flat in north London and with her own small balconies, wanted to create a little green oasis – to grow vegetables, have something pretty to look at and just enjoy her outside space.
She couldn’t find anything online relating to a small space or novice gardening in an urban environment and so saw a niche in the market.
The recent economic downturn also prompted Isabelle to think that she would be better off in charge of her own working situation and combined with the old ‘if I don’t do it now, I never will’ attitude, the idea for The Balcony Gardener was born.
Her company specialises in product ranges for balconies, patios, containers and roof terraces.
They provide beautiful ready-planted containers and window boxes for those who don’t have the time to DIY, as well as a range of vintage and contemporary outdoor furniture, pots and planters, tools and garden accessories such as lights and lanterns, cushions, bird houses and vintage finds.
And today’s post features some of my favourite finds from their website, including : Floral Deckchair, Green Floral Gardening Gloves, English Country Garden Window Box and Waterproof Sitting Cushions.
