Florist Profile – Victoria Brotherson of Scarlet & Violet

Scarlet & Violet…what a lovely name for a florist shop.  You’ll find it in Kensal Rise in northwest London and it’s run by Victoria Brotherson.

Victoria opened the shop in 2006 and as you’ll see from the beautiful images featured in today’s post, her style is very relaxed with a ‘just-picked from the garden’ look.

She displays blooms in wonderful vintage urns, buckets, jugs and pots…a look that’s very much in vogue at the moment.

Victoria is currently writing a book called ‘Vintage Flowers’ which is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be published in September.  I’m SO looking forward to reading it.

If you’d like to see some photos of the inside of the Scarlet & Violet shop, photographer Debi Treloar featured it recently on her blog.  Also, Victoria’s work is regularly featured in the press
