I hope you’ve had a great week.  It’s been another busy seven days…

Out & about

Last weekend

Just what I needed to recharge my batteries was a lovely weekend in Bristol staying with friends.

We had a great time and on the Sunday morning visited a nearby National Trust property called Tyntesfield.  It has beautiful gardens and the house is steeped in history…well worth a visit.

Monday

Wrote blog posts, dealt with emails and processed images.

Tuesday

In the morning, I met up for a cup of tea with florist Robbie Honey.  You may remember that I featured an interview with Robbie earlier in the year.

It was great to meet him as we’d only previously communicated by Twitter and email…and we had some wonderful discussions, particularly those of a floral nature.

Back in the office in the afternoon, I wrote blog posts and dealt with emails.

Wednesday

Up at 5am to go to a florist’s event called Baby Bloom at New Covent Garden Flower Market.

I had a wonderful morning and in between the workshops, met up with Nick Priestly of Mood Flowers in Glasgow.  I featured his beautiful orchid floral arrangements recently on Flowerona.

It was also great to catch up with Helen Evans, Head of Communications at the market, and to see Suzi Hunt from Flowers with a Twist.  Suzi and I had studied floristry together at Southwark College and now she runs her own flower shop in Cardiff.

Thursday

I was at home most of the day working, apart from a visit in the afternoon to an amazing secret wildflower meadow.

Having grown up in the countryside in Devon, I recognised a few of the flowers like red campion, but I’d never heard of yellow rattle before.

Worked late as Matty was out…finishing off the copy and images for a guest blog post on Llustre.

Friday

Another day mainly at home…writing blog posts, processing images and dealing with emails. Plus it was Day One of the four-week Blogging Your Way e-course which I’m taking part in.

  1. Wow, what a jammed packed post.

Hi Rona, I’m stopping by from BYW 2.0 to take a look around and browse. Love all your pretty photos and your site is great. I love how you incorporated your real name into a fun blog name.

Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you in class,

    Lisa
