RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2013 – Jane Packer Flowers Floristry Demonstration : Part 2
This blog post features the second hand-tied bouquet, which was made by Akira.
And here’s a close-up. Isn’t it stunning?
Akira started with stems of delphinium, which he spiralled.
Then he added stocks in two different shades of pink.
Followed by hydrangeas…
Then asparagus foliage…
And finally, he added a collar of Fatsia japonica.
Here’s the finished design below, which was very structural compared to the domed design in Part 1.
And I loved it…in particular the way that the colour of the hydrangeas picked up both the purple/blue tones of the delphiniums and the pink of the stocks.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these two beautiful hand-tied bouquets being made today.
Tomorrow, I’ll be featuring two more designs from the Jane Packer Flowers team at the show.
