5 reasons why your business needs a blog is (ironically!) the focus of this Sunday’s blog post. I hope you enjoy this new style of post and find it useful.
1. Increase Traffic to Your Website
One of the main reasons you need a blog is to increase traffic to your website. Search engines like Google love websites that are regularly updated. And when you blog regularly, your new content is a positive signal to search engines that your site is alive and offering fresh content.
The more blog posts you create, the more opportunities you’ll have of showing up in search engines and drive traffic to your website. The more people who visit your website, the more likely you’ll have of making sales.
2. Showcase Your Floristry Style
Create blog posts filled with beautiful images of your designs in your signature floristry style to show potential clients the kind of arrangements that you’re known for and which you could make for them. For example, dedicate one blog post to a wedding, where you created not only the floral designs for the bridal party, but also the church flowers, floral decoration for the wedding car, reception flowers and thank you bouquets.
3. Demonstrate Your Expertise
Blogging is a great way to demonstrate your expertise. For example, share details of the whole process of creating wedding flowers for a couple; from the initial meeting, creating a proposal, liaising with the venue, visiting the flower market early in the morning to buy the raw materials, conditioning the flowers, creating the designs, transporting and installing the arrangements and also the clear-up after the big day. By being so transparent, it’ll help build trust and confidence in your brand.
4. Stand Out from The Crowd
The way you write, how your blog looks, and the style of photos you share are all ways that you can show your brand personality. They’ll help you stand out from the crowd. Create distinctive and memorable content and you’ll become known for your particular style, whether it’s conversational, formal or quirky. And readers will be able to develop a deeper bond with you.
5. Keep Your Audience Updated
A blog is a great tool to keep your audience in the loop about your business. For example, share details about your new online bouquet collection, your plans for re-opening your shop when lockdown lifts or details of your upcoming workshops, whether online or in-person. Your blog is the perfect place to share in-depth details about your products and services, timely content and comment on relevant industry trends.
