I hope you had a lovely weekend. On Saturday morning, on the spur of the moment, I went to The Wisley Flower Show at RHS Wisley in Surrey.
There were nurseries and garden trade stands selling beautiful plants and garden sundries, plus Jan Harbon, the artist, who I’ve featured had a stand there too.
Echinaceas, dahlias and lilies were in abundance. And here are a few photos from the event.
In the grounds, there was the Surrey Sculpture Society Trail featuring over sixty sculptures. I loved the two designs above by Juliet Scott and Rick Kirby.
Plus there was a Flower Arranging Display by The National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (NAFAS) in the Glasshouse.
And I didn’t come away empty-handed. I bought some lovely baby-pink bloom chrysanthemums from Chrysanthemums Direct and an Echinacea ‘Purpurea Magnus’ plant from Madrona Nursery for our garden.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my photos. If you want to know the name of a particular flower that I’ve featured, simply hover over the image with your cursor, and you’ll be able to see some of the names. I really like the unusual pink Echinacea ‘Southern Belle’ in the fourth photo..
It was a lovely morning out and whilst there, I also had a general look-around…there’s so much to see! Look out next week for my post on their new Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden.
