I hope you had a lovely weekend…
Last week, I went to Loseley Park in Surrey with my garden designer friend Lisa Cox. And today’s blog post is the first of two posts about my visit.
On arrival, it was lovely to meet the owner, Michael More-Molyneux.
As well as being his family home, Loseley Park is a sought after venue for civil weddings and corporate events. It’s also a popular location for filming, including the TV series Sense and Sensibility.
The house was built in the reign of Elizabeth I in the 1560s and is steeped in history.
Lisa and I were there to photograph the Walled Garden which is divided into ‘rooms’, each with its own unique planting scheme and personality.
All the images in this post feature my favourite ‘room’ there, The White Garden.
I loved its sense of calmness and serenity with wonderful white flowers and complementary silver and grey foliage. I could quite happily have stayed there all day!
I hope you enjoy looking through the images of this magical place…
Isn’t it just so beautiful?
Tomorrow, in my second blog post, I’ll be featuring images from the other ‘rooms’ in the Walled Garden.
In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more about Loseley Park, do take a look at their beautiful website.
They’re also on Twitter and Facebook.
