On Sunday, I met up for a cup of tea and cake with the London Bloggers Group. We had such a lovely afternoon!
As the plan was to get together in East London, which is about an hour and a half from where I live, I decided to combine my trip with a visit to nearby Columbia Road Flower Market.
It really is a feast for all the senses on a Sunday morning…the hilarious banter from the traders (especially the men!), and the colours and textures of all the blooms.
Here are some photos which I took…
I hope they give you a feel for what you can buy there, plus the market’s wonderful ‘feel-good’ and very buzzy atmosphere.
It was so lovely to see how popular the market was…full of Londoners buying flowers, plants and bulbs for their homes, gardens and loved-ones.
I came home laden with pink peonies and hydrangeas. Yes, I know…peonies at this time of year! But I couldn’t resist them…
Columbia Road Flower Market is the perfect place to mooch around on a Sunday morning. So, why not visit soon?
P.S. Here’s a link to a short video which I took whilst I was there.
