You may remember the post I wrote the other day when I visited The Wisley Flower Show?
Well, whilst there, I also took a walk around their new Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden and here are a few photos.
The garden opened to the public in June and features not only over 4,000 roses, but also 5,000 herbaceous plants.
It was designed by RHS Chelsea gold medal-winning designer Robert Myers and is made up of a series of terraces that step down from the Bowes Lyon Pavilion.
The planting plan was created by RHS Wisley staff with the help of David Austin Roses and there are more than 150 different varieties of rose in the garden.
What struck me most whilst walking around the garden were the beautiful fragrances which I kept on encountering…I’d highly recommend a visit, if you’re in the area.
