Organised by the magazine Florist and Wholesale Buyer, it was a trade-only event with florists travelling from as far afield as Cardiff, Torquay and Newcastle.
Compère for the morning was Managing Editor of the magazine, Caroline Marshall-Foster, who’s been in the floristry industry for over 35 years.
Here are some of the floral designs which Heidi and Jamie created in the ‘Putting the Wow into Weddings’ demo…
And later that morning, there was an ‘On the Sofa’ business session with Helen Evans from the flower market, Nick Priestly of Mood Flowers, Tim Huckabee of Floral Strategies and Sally Bennett of Flowers by Nattrass.
Discussions ranged from the importance of using social media such as Facebook and Twitter, to the appeal of Pinterest and how the best investment for a florist can be a decent camera.
Baby Bloom 2012 was also a wonderful opportunity for florists to experience New Covent Garden Flower Market in action and see flowers, foliage and sundries that can’t be found anywhere else in the UK.
