I first featured the beautiful work of Hannah McVicar in a post on Flowerona back in March. And it was lovely to meet Hannah in person last month at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Today’s post features more of her stunning designs including the prints ‘Ravishing Beauty’ above and ‘Chic n Cheerful’ below. I absolutely love them both…they’ve got such a summery feel about them.
Hannah also very kindly sent me images of her brand new screenprints which are shown below : Cornflower Meadow, Foxglove and Ammi majus.
And here are pretty seed packets which Hannah designed for Jekka’s Herb Farm…perfect gifts for ‘green-fingered’ friends!
So, what’s Hannah got planned for the remainder of 2011? Well, she’s currently exhibiting prints in the ‘Enchanted Gardens’ event which is running at Rostra & Rooksmoor Galleries in Bath until June 29th.
She’s also at the M Shed, Bristol’s new museum, where she’s the first illustrator to exhibit on the Drawn in Bristol wall.
At the beginning of July, Hannah will be helping out at the Jekka’s Herb Farm stand at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Then from July 22nd-24th, she’ll be taking part in the Jamaica Street Artists Open Studio event in Bristol. Jamaica Street Artists is one of the largest artist-led studios outside of London containing 39 fine artists, painters, illustrators and filmmakers. And it’s here that Hannah is based on the fourth floor. So, if you’re in Bristol that weekend, do pop in!
And if you’d like to keep up-to-date with Hannah’s news, she’s on Twitter.
