For this week’s Wedding Wednesday blog post, I’m really delighted to feature a new book by florist Paula Pryke, ‘How to Plan your Wedding’. And oh my goodness…how I wish this book had been available when I got married back in 2002! I’ve a feeling that it’s going to become the must-have book for newly engaged couples.
With nearly 25 years experience of helping brides and grooms plan their weddings, Paula’s book guides you through the different stages of planning your big day…from picking your date and setting your budget, finding a venue and deciding on your dress to choosing your bridal bouquet and picking a photographer.
The chapters include:
- Your Big Day
- The Ceremony
- The Reception
- The Guests
- The Bride
- The Bridal Party
- Your Record of the Day
- Address Book
And there’s also a resources section at the back of the book, where Paula recommends some of her favourite wedding professionals including dress designers, photographers and caterers in the UK and USA.
In the format of a wiro-bound notebook, there’s plenty of space to write notes in the book and all the chapters are illustrated with stunning images of Paula’s floral designs…a selection of which you can see below.
Absolutely essential reading for all brides-to-be is how I would describe Paula’s book! And it will also be a wonderful keepsake and record of the event afterwards. ‘How To Plan your Wedding’ by Paula Pryke is published by Jacqui Small, (£20 Hardback) and is available from Amazon and all good bookshops.
