Looking for a Christmas present idea for a person who loves flowers and crafts? Then today’s blog post may be perfect timing!
I was delighted to recently receive a review copy of Louise Curley‘s latest book, ‘The Crafted Garden’. Featured in the book are 50 beautiful projects inspired by flowers, seeds, sprigs and twigs which Louise finds in her garden and hedgerows. There are ideas for botanical gifts, decorations and ornaments. Split into four main sections, the book covers crafts by season. And here are just a few examples:
How to press flowers
Making an alpine theatre
Unsealed terrariums for bulbs and succulents
Making a hessian plant pouch
Spring in a teacup
Aren’t they all such lovely creations? With each project, there’s a ‘What you will need’ recipe, together with step-by-step instructions with images. Plus throughout the book, you’ll find Louise’s Key Plants, with advice on how to grow each of them. It really is the ideal gift for a green-fingered friend who loves crafting!
P.S. Do check out Louise’s other book, ‘The Cut Flower Patch’, which I reviewed last year.
