I was delighted to recently receive a review copy of Baylor Chapman’s new book…The Plant Recipe Book. For those of you familiar with The Flower Recipe Book, this one follows a very similar format. It’s written in the style of a cookbook and features 100 easy-to-follow recipes, detailing how to make beautiful plant displays for your home. For each recipe, there is a list of ingredients, specifying the type and quantity of plants needed. There are over 4o main plants and for each one, there are several recipes. Below is an Aeonium recipe, which also features hellebores and rabbit’s foot fern.
And here’s an Air Plant recipe…a wonderful wreath which includes Phalaenopsis orchids and Echeveria.
There are also sections on essential tools, choosing your container, soil and top dressing, plant selection and care, plus general techniques. So, if you’re looking for houseplant inspiration, why not check out Baylor’s book and create your own ‘plant arrangement’?
