In this second blog post today, I’m featuring the beautiful hand-tied bouquets which the By Appointment Only Design (BAOD) team made for the wedding reception at The Savoy in London.
Three different sizes of pale pink and white bouquets…small, medium and large…needed to be made to decorate the ten rectangular tables in the banqueting room at the hotel.
And each different size of bouquet had a specific number of each type of rose and a certain number of stems of freesias.
Once completed, the designs with spiralled stems were placed in water in the appropriate size of glass cube vase.
Here’s one of the BAOD staff making one of the bouquets…
I had an absolutely amazing Saturday with Javier, Tony and the BAOD staff…who made me feel so at home.
I helped to make some hand-tieds for the wedding. And it was so lovely to have the opportunity to be involved…and to use such stunning blooms.
The next blog post starts showing you what happened on the Sunday, the actual day of the wedding.
P.S. A huge thanks to everyone that day for all their insider knowledge on the names of international florists who I should contact to feature on Flowerona in the future!

Most HILARIOUS when I looked at this one Rona – as if I didn’t know better – I would SWEAR that was my younger brother in those pics!!! EXACTLY how he dresses…and one of his many talents is as a landscaper for one of the massive parks in Auckland. Love, Ali x
How funny! The young gentleman in the images is Dutch 🙂 x
