One of my favourite parts of Chelsea week is the ‘Chelsea in Bloom’ event, where retailers close to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show create fabulous floral window displays. The RHS judging panel, along with lifestyle blogger Sasha of Liberty London Girl judged the awards. And I’m delighted for this year’s winner Kate Spade New York, who were given a gold award. Congratulations not only to them though, but also London-based florist Wild at Heart, who created the totally tropical design using Strelitzia, Gingers and palm leaves! I love the toucan! Here are some images from outside the store…
The Chelsea in Bloom event takes place until Saturday, 24th May. So, if you’re visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, will be near the Duke of York Square or are in the Sloane Street area, I highly recommend visiting the shops which are taking part. There’s also The ‘People’s Champion Award’ voted for by the public. To cast your vote, simply visit the Chelsea in Bloom website. I’ll be featuring images from the other award winners on Flowerona shortly.
P.S. If you’d like to read more about the story behind the Kate Spade New York design for Chelsea in Bloom, simply pop over to the Wild at Heart blog.
