Over the last few Wedding Wednesday‘s I’ve shared with you images of the florists’ stands at Brides The Show. Even though I still have more florists to feature, I thought that this week, for a change, that I’d show you pictures of gorgeous floral-inspired cakes by Cake Maison. East Sussex based Emma Drew is the very talented lady behind the company and it was so lovely to meet her at the show. It was also wonderful to meet Sharon Boon of Flowerbug Designs, who I’ve featured in the past on Flowerona. Sharon had arranged the stunning fresh roses, anemones and hydrangeas at the base of Emma’s cake…which beautifully complemented the sugarcraft flowers on top of it. Here’s a close-up below.
And here are some more shots, kindly supplied to me by the lovely Danni Beach, who’s a professional wedding photographer. I’d taken so many photos that evening that my camera’s memory card became full as I was photographing Emma’s stand! (I’ll show you one of my photos of a close-up of the beautiful cake on the right today on Facebook).
If you’d like to see more of Emma’s amazing cake designs, please do visit the Cake Maison website. And if you’re planning your wedding, have you thought how you may like to use flowers to display your cake at your reception?
P.S. I can vouch for Emma’s Chocolate Fudge Cake with Belgian Chocolate Ganache Buttercream, as she kindly gave me a sample. It was absolutely delicious!
