Last week, I was down in North Cornwall having a short break and whilst there, I visited the St Eval Candle Company.
I’d bought one of their Victorian Herb Bowls before from a gardening shop in Devon and when we were out in the car visiting the seaside town of Padstow, I noticed brown tourist road signs for their factory shop.
So we popped in and not only were the herb bowls on sale, but also the beautiful floral candles featured at the beginning of today’s post. Each style has its own fragrance – Rose Garden (pink), Spring Flower (blue) and Inspiritus (gold). Plus they also make matching vases.
As well as candles in beautifully decorative pots, they make them in terracotta ones too, including the Classic pots below which are available in two beautiful fragrances – Hellebores and Peony & Moroccan Cedar. Once used, the pots would make a lovely addition to your garden or balcony…
And last but not least, their Small Victorian Herb Pots. I couldn’t resist buying a Thyme & Mint one for our kitchen.
As for a little bit about the company, the St Eval Candle Company is based on a traditional working farm in Engollan, near St Eval and was founded by Tim and Sarah Young-Jamieson. They make high quality hand-made candles using traditional methods of candle making such as pouring, dipping and drawing.
I’d thoroughly recommend a visit to the factory shop if you’re down in the area…the combination of fragrances when you walk into the shop is gorgeous!
