I love going to the gym and try to fit in three classes a week. It’s something that I’ve done since I was eighteen…and it all started when I had a summer job working at the chewing gum manufacturer, Wrigley, in Plymouth.
To cut a very long story short…back in those days, I was a little bit larger than I am now(!), due to a very sweet tooth.
I was working as a receptionist and shared the job with a lady who was an aerobics teacher. She ran classes after work at the company and suggested that I came along…and that was how I caught the ‘gym bug’.
I realised pretty soon that it was a great way to lose weight and stay in shape, plus it gave me so much more energy.
And yes, sometimes it’s hard to fit classes into a busy week, but for me, it takes priority. My favourite class now is Zumba. And I also do pilates, barre training and sometimes yoga.
Sweaty Betty is my favourite place to find workout clothes. They’re such high quality and come in great colours.
So, you can imagine my delight when I received their catalogue this week and noticed that they’ve introduced florals into their new autumn collection.
Bold peony prints now appear in their range of workout clothes, from tops and capri pants to shorts.
If you’re not familiar with the brand, it was set up in London fourteen years ago by Tamara Hill-Norton. Starting from one boutique in Notting Hill, they now have 28 stores including concessions in Selfridges and Harrods.
So, if you’re looking for some new clothes for the gym, why not pop into one of their shops or take a look at their website?
