Last week, I had the pleasure of attending florist Mary Jane Vaughan’s Autumn Showcase Event at her studio in London. And this week’s Florist Friday blog post features fabulous photos of the event, taken by Hoda Davaine.
Breath-taking tablecentres in deep red, cerise pink and burgundy adorned a long dining table and featured roses, hydrangeas, celosia and astrantia. I loved the fruit elements…the addition of black grapes in the arrangements and single figs at each place setting.
In another part of the studio, there were high and low designs brimming full of hydrangeas and clematis in a colour palette of lilac, purple and pale blue.
And oh my…just how striking are these amaryllis?!
Traditional autumn colours of red, orange and yellow were also very much in evidence with these beautifully arranged roses, physalis, hypericum and rose hips, complemented by gourds.
During the event, guests were invited to make table arrangements and flower crowns. Below on the right is Wedding Planner, Lester Gethings, wiring the components for his flower crown.
And here’s Mary Jane talking to a gentleman from Caterer & Event Planners, Rhubarb.
I love the flower crown which Liesl Lamare from Wedding & Event Planners, Zouch & Lamare, made!
I had such an amazing time…seeing all the breath-taking floral designs, chatting to guests and making my own table arrangement to take home. There were also mouth-watering canapés by Maddie Hatton. And I just love this photo of Mary Jane and I, as I was about to leave…
And finally, how about this incredible installation which I walked through on my way out…
Thank you so much to Mary Jane and her team for such a wonderful evening! If you’d like to see more stunning designs, please check out the Mary Jane Vaughan website. Social media wise, Mary Jane Vaughan Designs are on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
P.S. If you missed it, there’s some footage of the event in last week’s Flowerona Reflects video.
