If you’re in the UK, I hope you’re having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Today, I’m delighted to introduce a brand new monthly blog post series, called Flowerona Loves!
It’s an idea that I’ve been mulling over for quite a while as I’ve wanted to add a more personal element to Flowerona. But it’s taken me until now, with a tiny bit of a lull over the summer, to make it happen. So, at the end of each month, I’ll be sharing with you my favourite things that I’ve loved and sometimes, but not always, they’ll have a floral theme.
1. Tuberose Candle by florist Robbie Honey
This candle has been adding a wonderful fragrance to my office. And after having tuberose flowers at home recently, I can vouch for the fact that its scent is absolutely true to the fragrance of the bloom.
2. Nutty 9Bars
Recommended to me by a nutritionist a few years ago, Nutty 9Bars are my go-to snack especially after I’ve been to the gym. They’re full of natural ingredients including cashews, almonds and Brazil nuts, plus sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and hemp seeds. So florists, if you’re looking for a healthy delicious snack to keep you going after an early start or you’re in need of an afternoon pick-me-up, why not try them out?
3. Letter Tray by Ikea
Lately, I’ve been having an office tidy up and to help with filing, I bought this letter tray. I love its minimalistic design and it looks great on my desk.
4. Nespresso Machine
Earlier in the year, we went to stay with friends who had a Nespresso machine…and it was love at first sight/taste! So, when we recently got some John Lewis vouchers, we treated ourselves to one when it was on special offer. The milk frother is brilliant and I now really enjoy my daily mug of this delicious decaf variety.
5. Sybila Court Shoes by LK Bennett
I’ve been meaning to buy a pair of taupe/nude shoes for some time now, as being a neutral shade they can go with so many different outfits. And as I had an important meeting to go to recently, where I was wearing a cobalt blue dress, I bought these lovely classic court shoes to go with it.
6. Zumba
My favourite class at the gym, by far, is Zumba. I love it! It’s so much fun and no matter how busy I am, I try to go twice a week. I come away from the class feeling so energised!
7. Floral Memo Block by Paperchase
Thoughts and ideas regularly pop into my head whilst I’m working away at my desk. To make sure I don’t forget anything, I always have a memo block handy. And I couldn’t resist buying this floral one recently.
So, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this first post in my new monthly series and I hope too that you may have found it useful. I’d love to know your thoughts on it…
P.S. I’ve recently set up a personal Instagram account for all things non-flowery, if you’d like to follow me there.
