Whilst in Holland earlier this month, I spotted some very unusual varieties of gerberas which I thought I’d share with you today. They were on Gerbera United‘s stand at the FloraHolland Trade Fair.
The variety above, with feather-like petals, is called ‘Pasta Romana’ and comes from the ‘Pasta’ series. The two varieties below are Spider Gerberas, with overlapping rows of spiky slender petals.
I particularly loved the ‘Moon Kick’ variety below with its layer upon layer of creamy white petals.
Do look out for these quirky gerberas the next time that you’re in a florist shop. Or if you’re a florist, at your wholesaler.
