How did Luella’s Boudoir come about?
I was inspired to open Luella’s Boudoir following my own wedding in 2005.
I had a really busy career and struggled to find the time to visit all the various wedding shops and boutiques.
I found the choice of bridal accessories really limited and I also wished that I could have had some styling advice.
Where is your boutique located?
Luella’s Boudoir is located in Wimbledon Village in London.
What kind of products can brides-to-be find in your boutique and on your on-line shop?
Our boutique is filled with a gorgeous collection of products including dresses, shoes, veils, hair accessories, jewellery and a number of other beautiful items.
All of our products are carefully handpicked by the Luella’s team and are chosen because of their originality and beauty.
Many of our designs are exclusive to Luella’s and we source a unique range of ‘original vintage’ pieces.
Luella’s work with UK and international designers, stocking pieces from collections designed in New York, LA, Melbourne, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Salisbury and Tunbridge Wells.
What are you plans for 2013?
We’re continuing to source unique designers from all over the world and are extending the boutique to make room for all of our amazing new suppliers.
We are proud to have added the more simple style Phase Eight ready to wear collection of dresses to our portfolio, so that we can cater for weddings both in the UK and abroad.
We’re also collaborating with like-minded businesses, based in the village to supply our brides with some luxury offers, including a free Celgenics facial with the purchase of every dress and will continue to offer further exclusive promotions throughout the year.
What is your favourite flower?
Agapanthus…I love the colour of them and this is the colour I used throughout my wedding.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my interview with Rachel and also seeing some of the beautiful floral-inspired designs which she sells via her boutique.
