I hope you had a great weekend…
Earlier in the year when I was down in Devon, I met a lovely lady called Victoria Lammie. And today I’m delighted to feature an interview with her about her company, Love Lammie.
When did you start your business and where are you based?
Love Lammie evolved in 2005 after having my first child.
I wanted to carry on working as a fashion designer and, having left London to start a new life in Devon, it seemed the perfect way to continue doing what I loved – this time developing my own brand.
I’d previously worked for many high street retailers as a ladies wear designer.
Could you tell us about your product range?
The Love Lammie product range is inspired by all things vintage and, most importantly, floral. It’s a fashion-led collection of bags and accessories to suit every girl’s needs.
Weekend bags, book bags, handbags, cosmetic bags, purses, baby changing bags, bibs and even shower caps form the collection.
Where do you get inspiration for your floral patterns?
The brand new ‘Vintage Cotton’ collection inspiration is from a 1970s sun lounger I happened to spot in my neighbour’s garden!
I love to take inspiration from the 1940s too…it’s my favourite era. Fashion was just so stylish and feminine.
Could you tell us more about your new ‘Vintage Cotton’ collection?
The ‘Vintage Cotton’ collection, which you can see below, is a capsule range of cosmetic bags and purses.
Beautifully finished with pretty piping and binding, it’s available in two gorgeous colours, ‘Fuschia’ and ‘Violet’.
What are your plans for the remainder of 2012?
I’m very busy working on our winter collection which we’ll showcase at the Autumn Fair in September at the NEC in Birmingham.
Do you have a favourite flower?
Roses are my favourite flower…especially the English garden variety.
Many thanks to Victoria for all her help in putting together today’s blog post.
If you’d like to keep up-to-date with her news, she’s on Twitter and Facebook, plus has a blog.
