Regular readers will know that I adore bright colours and if you do too, then I’m sure you’ll love Lulu & Nat.
The company, which was set up by Lulu McEvoy and Nat Robinson, sells a beautiful range of homeware products for adults and children, including duvet covers, cushion covers, quilts and tableware. I love the white floral cushion cover in the image above!
Each piece is hand-crafted and made in India using traditional techniques. And their client list includes prestigious London stores such as Designers Guild, SCP, The Cross and Liberty, as well as designer childrenswear shop Bonton in Paris.
Lulu very kindly answered a few questions for me:
When did you start your business and where are you based?
We started the business back in 2008 and at that time I was based in Mumbai, India.
Where do you get your floral inspiration for your products?
I get my inspiration from both India and England. My first ever piece of inspiration, which formed the start of the Lulu & Nat Floral collection, was picked up from Kempton Antiques Fair.
It was a vintage piece of hand embroidery of a beautiful floral design.
What are your plans for the remainder of 2011?
My plans for the remainder of 2011 is to create and design a new collection for Lulu & Nat. I would also like to expand the kid’s bed linen collection.
Do you have a favourite flower?
Such a difficult question because I love all flowers! I love peonies and sweet peas – that’s if I’m allowed two!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing Lulu & Nat’s vibrant floral designs. If you’d like to keep up-to-date with their news, do take a look at their blog.
