Aren’t these floral-inspired cards from Abigail Mill just beautiful?
They feature small prints taken from her original embroidery, hand-finished and float-mounted on to card.
Norwich-based Abigail trained at Cumbria College of Art and Design in embroidered textiles and graduated in 1990. A year later, with a loan from the Princes Trust, she set up her business, Abigail Mill Embroidery.
Over the years, she’s developed her own unique style and technique of free-hand machine embroidery and has been featured in several craft books and magazines. She’s also taught in Art schools and worked on private commissions.
Her work is often described as whimsical and ethereal due to the layered and watery feel of the fabrics and jewel-like colours.
She sells her designs on-line and through gift shops and galleries around the UK, France, America and Japan.
Here is a selection of her beautiful limited edition prints.
Followed by two of her original one-off embroideries.
I hope you’ve enjoying seeing Abigail’s designs.
By the way, she’s also designed a gorgeous range of hand-made Christmas cards!
