Today is Kate and William’s first wedding anniversary. It only seems like yesterday that lots of us were glued to our screens watching their wonderful day.
And it doesn’t surprise me that my most popular blog post on Flowerona with over 11,500 page views is Kate’s bridal bouquet…what did you think?
Her bouquet certainly seemed to divide opinion. But in my blog post, Kate’s bouquet…it all makes even more sense now, an explanation about its style can be found.
So what have the last twelve months as Duchess of Cambridge been like for Kate…flower-wise?
Throngs of people have attended the numerous royal engagements where she’s been present and some of them have given her bouquets of flowers…
It consisted of peonies, Sweet Avalanche roses, Lady Bombastic spray roses, lisianthus, juniper berries and eucalyptus.
The choice of colours for the design were inspired by the film, which follows a pride of lions and a family of cheetahs on Kenya’s plains as they battle for survival. It included roses, astrantia and ranunculus.
I look forward to seeing what’s in store for Kate, and William, over the next twelve months, including events such as the Queens’s Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics and their Malaysian tour this summer.
P.S. I’ve often wondered what happens to the flowers that she’s given and whether she keeps any of them?
