At this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, there are five Artisan Retreats. They are wonderful garden buildings from the Malvern Collection, which have been decorated by artists and designers. I loved London-based milliner Lizzie McQuade‘s retreat called ‘I Haven’t Had Tomorrow Yet’…the wonderful shade of blue that the building had been painted in, the perfectly matching hydrangeas and the little posies of blooms artfully arranged inside the retreat.
Lizzie’s description of her design is: ‘A luxurious garden retreat and workshop for the woman who has everything! Inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s love of diamonds, flowers and finery, this is an ornate and calming space. Hyacinths and lilac create a perfumed haven in which to dream up, make and admire your perfect hat.’
Oh…to have a retreat like this at the bottom of our garden! If you’d like to see pictures of the other Artisan Retreats, simply pop over to the RHS website.
