I love visiting Ranelagh Gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to see the Artisan Gardens. Winning Best Artisan Garden this year was Togenkyo – A Paradise on Earth, which was also awarded a Gold medal. The garden was inspired by the fable of Togenkyo, a place of beautiful scenery that can help people to forget their troubles, but that once visited can not be revisited. Kazuyuki Ishihara designed the garden and I understand that Porters Foliage at New Covent Garden Flower Market supplied the moss!
The DialAFlight Potter’s Garden, designed by Nature Redesigned was also awarded a Gold medal.
Silver-Gilts went to The Topiarist’s Garden at West Green House, which was designed by Marylyn Abbott….
Arita designed by Shuko Noda…
and The Viking Cruises Norse Garden designed by Sadie May Stowell.
Le Tour de Yorkshire, designed by Alistair W. Baldwin, was awarded a Silver medal.
And Bronze went to 75 Years of The Roof Gardens in Kensington, designed by David Lewis.
Many congratulations to all the designers. My personal favourite was The Topiarist’s Garden at West Green House. I loved the white and green colour palette, rustic brickwork and of course, the topiary! Which is your favourite Artisan Garden?
