Many congratulations to retailer Marks & Spencer for winning their fourth consecutive Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with this wonderful exhibit, The Floral Market.
Taking inspiration from British heritage markets including the original Floral Hall at Covent Garden Piazza and Borough Market, the design by Sallis Chandler featured more British flowers and plants than ever before. Homegrown stocks, hydrangeas and tulips were on display as cut flowers, together with Phalaenopsis orchid plants.
A ‘floral window’ depicting a sunrise was a beautiful focus point to the exhibit and proved to be very popular as a backdrop for photos by many a show visitor. It featured roses, peonies, alliums, delphiniums, hydrangeas, stocks, gerberas, lisianthus, agapanthus, chrysanthemums and irises. Scroll down for lots more photos…
Such incredible ‘Coral Sunset’ peonies!
And ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ too…
