The winner of the Summer Gardens category at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2012 was ‘The Landform Garden’.
Designed by Catherine MacDonald, the garden was constructed by Landform Consultants.
And it was inspired by aspects of the ‘High Line‘ in New York, a public park built on a derelict railway line.
I loved the colourful planting with a predominantly purple and orange palette. It included Eryngium ‘Jos Elkins’, Achillea ‘Walther Funcke’ and Echinops ‘Taplow Blue’.
Here are some more images…
Many congratulations to Catherine and Landform Consultants. If you’d like to keep up-to-date with Landform’s news, they’re on Twitter and Facebook, plus have a blog.
Next I’ll be featuring the winner of the Conceptual Gardens category.
