Many congratulations to Carolyn Dunster and Noemi Mercurelli, the designers of Katie’s Garden, for winning a silver medal at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show! The garden was created to raise the profile and highlight the work of Katie’s Lymphoedema Fund.
I loved both the concept behind their design, of a cutting garden, and the beautiful planting. The garden is laid out with raised planting beds, demonstrating how to grow flowers for cutting and arranging in a small space. A flower prepping table at the back of the garden creates the impression of a small florist’s workspace. And buckets and vases are filled with seasonal British cut flowers from Windmill Farm Flowers in Somerset.
Isn’t it gorgeous?! If you’d like to know more about the plants featured in the garden, simply click here.
P.S. Just to let you know that I’m taking some (much needed!) time off from today and will be back here week commencing July 18th. See you then!
