I hope you enjoyed seeing the blog post earlier today featuring florist Simon Lycett creating a Christmas door wreath.
In Part 2, you’ll see step-by-step photos to show you how he made the complementary table arrangement which you can see above.
To start the design, Simon took a white glass bowl which had been filled with floral foam and topped with 2″ chicken wire.
He added a red candle, followed by pine, camellia foliage and Viburnum tinus.
Then he inserted white hydrangeas into the foam. To provide contrasting shapes and textures, he added white Avalanche roses and spray roses.
Then he added sparkly red apples which had been dipped in wax and glitter, plus red stars.
The design on its own would make a perfect table arrangement, but to add real impact, Simon filled a large glass urn with baubles and then placed the design on top.
To finish it off, he added stems of white Phalaenopsis orchid. And he also placed vases of red roses, white tulips and blue hyacinths around the base of the urn.
Many thanks to Simon for his marvellous demo, which certainly wowed the audience at the fair. And here’s a photo of me with him above…
