You may remember from my posts last week that I visited New Covent Garden Flower Market in London and came away with some peonies.
Well, today’s post simply features a few photographs that I took at the weekend, once they’d bloomed. Aren’t they just such stunning flowers?
This particular type of peony is called Sarah Bernhardt, named after the French Victorian actress. They’re very sweetly scented and I love the layer upon layer of pale pink frilly petals!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these images. Do make the most of peonies whilst they’re around! This particular type is generally available in the UK as a cut flower from May through to July.
