I hope you had a lovely weekend. Today, I’d like to share with you my second blog post about our Social Media for Florists workshop last month. And it features images of the beautiful styling and mouth-watering food!
As with our previous workshops, my co-host Fiona created a stunning mood board illustrating her ideas of how to style the venue. White, green and silver were the key elements. And this was the first time we’d used candles. They added a really special touch!
Thank you so much to Graeme from Zest Flowers at New Covent Garden Flower Market for so kindly sponsoring us. His flowers and foliage, which included beautiful anemones, ranunculus, tulips, hellebores and eucalyptus transformed both the upstairs and downstairs of our venue, Brixton East in London. Many thanks too to our wonderful Flowerona Intern Steph Eastwood who conditioned and arranged all the flowers. She also made the lovely foliage wreaths!
Let’s start downstairs…
I LOVED these little posies below ‘trailing’ across the wall above the tea and coffee station.
Adding colour and subtle scent to the dining tables were dainty lily of the valley plants…
Moving upstairs, vases of flowers and foliage, together with tea lights, were dotted on the delegates’ tables.
You may have spotted that some of the vases had a hint of silver sparkle? Well, the labels on the goody bags continued this theme. Fiona’s creative attention to detail never ceases to amaze me!
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post which features stunning photos by Katie Spicer. We’re holding our next Social Media for Florists workshop on October 20th. And if you’re planning a new website for your floristry business or revamping your current one, there are a handful of places left on our Branding for Florists workshop on March 25th.
P.S. Here’s a link to Part 1 and also my ‘behind the scenes’ video, just in case you missed them.
