It’s a little hard to believe…but it’s just less than eight weeks until Christmas Day! And if you’re looking for floristry inspiration or special gifts and treats for the festive period, the Spirit of Christmas Fair is the perfect place to visit. It opens next Tuesday, 5th November and runs until Sunday, 10th November at Olympia in London.
There will be new and exclusive independent hand-picked British boutiques there, all approved by House & Garden magazine. My favourite part of the fair though is the floristry workshops which take place each day…
House & Garden Workshops
Fabulous Flower Arranging with Phil Hammond from The Dorchester
11.30am (November 5,6 & 7)
The Dorchester’s designer florist Phil Hammond will be demonstrating how to create exquisite but easy-to-make festive candle centrepieces during an interactive workshop. Designs will reflect The Dorchester’s seasonal decorations, showcasing winter foliage, dried fruits and natural accessories in varied tones of green and gold, allowing participants to take a little bit of The Dorchester home this Christmas.
Natural & Abundant Festive Designs, Flower Arranging with Philippa Craddock
11.30am (November 8, 9 & 10)
After Philippa Craddock’s hugely successful workshop at this year’s Spirit of Summer Fair, she will be demonstrating two Christmas designs. The first, an oversized and fabulous door wreath festooned with seasonal foliage and natural decorations. And a second smaller arrangement, with all the ingredients supplied and easy to follow step-by-step instructions, for you to create and take your very own festive design home.
