The Strawberry Hill House Flower Festival has been taking place since Sunday and runs until Wednesday, 26th June. You may have seen my video on IGTV sharing just some of the beautiful floral designs which are on display?
It’s an incredible celebration of British flowers and is the brainchild of three very talented ladies – pictured below, left to right, florist Leigh from Leigh Chappell Flowers, florist Claire from Honeysuckle & Hilda and floral photographer and stylist Janne Ford. Huge congratulations ladies on co-ordinating this inaugural event, which sees florists and flower growers from the length and breadth of the UK coming together to create arrangements using homegrown flowers. And all the designs were created without floral foam.
Many congratulations too to all the florists, flower growers and artists who took part in the event. I was blown away by all the designs!
In today’s blog post, I thought I’d share some of the photos I took when I visited the Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham on Sunday evening. It was quite a challenge to take photographs due to it being dusk and the rooms having low light levels, but I hope you enjoy looking through them…
Florist : Fiona Pickles from Firenza Floral Design
Fiona dressed the eight (!) flights of the main staircase using flowers picked from her own garden with additions from Picked at Dawn, The Yorkshire Flower Patch and Clem’s Garden. The beautiful painting hanging from the staircase was by Flora Roberts.
Florist: Claire Bowen from Honeysuckle & Hilda

Florist: Brigitte Stirling from Moss & Stone Floral Design
