On Monday evening, I went to a Private View of floral artist Rebecca Louise Law’s wonderful new exhibition in London. Wow…is what I said when I walked in! Taking centre stage is this stunning floral installation called ‘The Hated Flower’, featuring chrysanthemums and carnations. I took lots of photos of the design and thought I’d share just a few with you today…
And yes…that is someone lying in the flowers! With the agreement of Rebecca, this lady lay down and enjoyed looking up into the beautiful floral canopy. She said it was heavenly. This is the photo she kindly took on my iPhone whilst she was there…
Rebecca’s exhibition is at The Coningsby Gallery, 30 Tottenham Street, London, W1T 4RJ until this Saturday, 15th February. And I highly recommend a visit. Not only will you see this breath-taking installation, but also Rebecca’s interpretations of Dutch Masters’ paintings, with a very quirky touch. Let’s just say that a traffic cone or two are involved! And you can see more of Rebecca’s work on her website.

I plan to visit Rebecca’s exhibition this week, weather and transport permitting! I had the pleasure of being part of Rebecca’s team for the The Royal Opera House installation back in 2010. Incredibly hard work but the end result was breathtaking. Rebecca has such good leadership skills with an aura of calm. You really need to see her work to appreciate how glorious it is.
Once again, thank you for such a great blog Rona.
