Earlier this month, I went to the Designer Wedding Show at Battersea Park in London.
It’s a very chic event featuring leading bridal wear designers together with florists, photographers, wedding cake designers, wedding venues, stationery and accessories designers. Plus, there’s a fashion show four times a day featuring gorgeous bridal fashion from the designers exhibiting at the show.
Today though I’m concentrating purely on some of the beautiful bridal blooms which were on display.
We’re starting off with By Appointment Only Design‘s stand, which was absolutely breath-taking. I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet the very talented gentleman behind these abundant floral designs, Javier Salvador. Together with Tony Marklew, Javier runs the company which is one of London’s top wedding styling and concierge services.
On their stand, masses of pastel roses were combined with hydrangeas and scabious to create the amazing tablecentre above.
Individual cream Illusion roses tinged with pink adorned serviettes and they were also placed in tea cups, plus there were urns filled with blooms and rose petals scattered on the floor around the table.
And not forgetting the amazing flower-adorned cake by Peggy Porschen. Here are a few more pictures of their stand…
By Appointment Only Design were also responsible for decorating the champagne bar at the show and other public areas – photos of which are shown below.
Another stand which took my breath away was Zita Elze‘s. It was so exquisitely styled with a colour palette of predominantly white, cream and green.
At the show, Zita launched her Living Embroidery Bridal Collection of stunning dresses and accessories, all embellished with fresh flowers. You can see an example of one of her dresses on the right in the image below and a close-up further down.
Zita’s stand was almost ‘fairy-tale’ like and I absolutely loved the intricacy of her designs.
Other florists at the show were Mary Jane Vaughan Designs and Amanda Austin Flowers.
So, if you’re looking for inspiration for your wedding day, I highly recommend visiting the next Designer Wedding Show which takes place from 10th-12th February 2012.

Amazing write up and it seems roses are as popular as ever. However, I’m blown away by Zita’s phenomenal display. Truly awe inspiring it’s so beautiful.
Thank you for your lovely comment 🙂 Yes, roses were to be found on all the florists’ stands…
