Olympic fever has started to build up here in the UK this week. And the last seven years since it was first announced that London would be hosting the event seem to have flown by so quickly…

Floral bicycles on display on roundabouts in Elmbridge on the Olympic Cycling Routes

Over the last week, wonderful flower-adorned bicycles have started to appear on roundabouts in Elmbridge in Surrey, where we live.

It was such a lovely surprise to first see them last weekend and I was intrigued as to who was responsible. So I thought I’d do some investigation into how they came about. They’ve certainly brought lots of smiles to people in the area…

The presence of the bicycles is due to the fact that this weekend the Olympic Cycling Road Races are coming to Surrey, with the Olympic Cycling Time Trials taking place next Wednesday.… Read more
