British Flowers Week 2014 at New Covent Garden Flower Market

I hope you had a lovely weekend. With the beautiful weather, it’s really starting to feel that summer is here…a time when British cut flowers are in abundance. Homegrown blooms are enjoying a real resurgence in interest. And today, I wanted to share with you news about British Flowers Week 2014 at New Covent Garden Flower Market in London, which is a week-long celebration of British cut flowers and foliage.

Written by Louise Curley, who also pens the well-known gardening blog, Wellywoman, this is the perfect book for learning how to grow your very own cut flower patch. Back in 2012, I featured Flowers from the Farm on Flowerona. It’s a nationwide network of British cut flower growers. And oh my goodness (!), wasn’t it a popular blog post on Tuesday evening…all because of a certain TV programme, the Great British Garden Revival.
