You may remember that back in 2011, I visited Flowers at Chicheley Hall? Well, one of the co-organisers of the event, Judith Blacklock, has another floral show lined up called Flowers@Oxford. It’s taking place from August 22nd-24th at Lady Margaret Hall, an Oxford University college, renowned for its beautiful gardens on the bank of the River Cherwell. Flowers@Oxford promises to be the largest and most innovative show of cut flowers that has ever been seen in the UK. Gregor, who is German, has written many inspirational books on floral design. And when I was studying floristry at Southwark College, he was the first international florist that I became aware of…so it was a real treat to see him live on stage.

One Sunday, earlier this month, I travelled by train to Milton Keynes in North Buckinghamshire to visit ‘Flowers at Chicheley Hall’, an amazing floral event organised by London-based florist Judith Blacklock and Fleur Events.
Over three days, there were demonstrations and workshops by some of the most influential and inspiring designers from the international floral scene including Gregor Lersch from Germany, Moniek Vanden Berghe from Belgium, Mark Pampling from Australia, plus David Ragg and Neil Whittaker from the UK.
