Wedding Wednesday : Jessica Ennis’s wedding flowers by Katie Peckett Flowers

It’s Wedding Wednesday and today I’m delighted to feature Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis‘s wedding flowers.

Jessica married her fiance Andy Hill at a church in the Derbyshire village of Hathersage back in May.

And her flowers were designed by Sheffield based florist Katie Peckett from Katie Peckett Flowers.

Regarding Jessica’s bridal bouquet, Katie said, “To get inspiration, I looked at pictures of Jess’s stunning wedding dress and talked through what would work.

After making up a selection of sample bouquets, we decided on a simple hand-tied compact posy created from Avalanche and Sweet Avalanche roses, in white and soft pink.”… Read more

Bouquet for Jessica Ennis created by Tracey Campbell of Campbell’s Flowers

Sheffield-based florist Tracey Campbell of Campbell’s Flowers contacted me whilst I was on holiday last week.

She had some very exciting news, in that she’d been asked to create a special ‘Golden’ bouquet for Olympic champion Jessica Ennis.

It was presented to Jessica by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield in front of 10,000 people and local and national media at a civic reception to celebrate her homecoming this month.

The bouquet featured sunflowers, to reflect Jessica’s sunny disposition, and included locally grown and British flowers.… Read more
