In my third blog post today, I’m featuring the chuppah design.

Bright and early on the Sunday morning, I made my way to By Appointment Only Design‘s (BAOD) studio in Camden.

The Pollen Crew team, who were helping to install the wedding, were there. They were busy loading up their vans with the double domes of roses, vases of hand-tied bouquets, candles, candlesticks, tea light holders and vases.

Beautiful scented candles by Designer’s Guild from Amara

Recently, I received a beautiful Magnolia candle by Designer’s Guild from Amara as a review product.

Now, as my hubbie will tell you, I adore candles and especially the scented variety. Whenever I’m at my desk in the afternoon, I have to light a candle and for the last week, I’ve been enjoying the floral scent of the one above in my office.

This particular candle is part of Designer’s Guild new Spring/Summer collection for 2012. It features a floral scent of citrus top notes with jasmine & lily, together with a base of woodland, moss and amber.… Read more

Magnolias and their spectacular spring blossom…

When we moved to our house nearly two years ago, I was so pleased to find a magnolia tree in our front garden, as I’d always admired them.

For most of the year, it’s simply bare branches or covered in leaves. However, this month it’s at its very best…

This week, when the weather’s been so beautiful, I took a few photos and here are the results.

Magnolias grow as both trees and shrubs, with blooms ranging from white to pink and even purple.… Read more
