Last Tuesday, I was delighted to be invited to attend an event at The Conran Shop in Marylebone. Heavenly is how I would describe the evening which marked the launch of a range of fine fragrances, candles and body products by Jardins d’Ecrivains.

Poinsettia Christmas table design by florist Rebel Rebel – Restoration Christmas

Today’s blog post features the second Poinsettia Christmas table design from the recent International Poinsettia Press Party which I attended.

And it’s the turn of florist Rebel Rebel. You may remember that I featured an interview with the two founders of the company, Athena Duncan and Mairead Curtin, on Flowerona last year.

Well, it was such a pleasure to meet Mairead at the party. And I absolutely loved the design which she’d created called ‘Restoration Christmas’!

RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011 : Part 6 – Rebel Rebel

I hope you’ve enjoyed my RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011 posts. This is the last one and it features a demonstration by Rebel Rebel.

Athena Duncan and Mairead Curtin founded this business in 2001, initially specialising in event floristry and then six years ago, they opened a shop in Broadway Market, London, E8.

I absolutely loved the ‘country garden’ window boxes they created and here’s a step-by-step of how they put them together.

The fibreglass window boxes were filled with oasis and Athena initially inserted hornbeam, beech, mock orange blossom, Jacob’s Ladder, rosemary and privet.… Read more
