Back in September, I visited the beautiful Bovey Castle in Devon and today I just thought I’d feature a few photographs of its wonderful gardens.
You may recognise the garden scene below?
Back in January, Bovey Castle was featured on Michel Roux’s BBC2 television programme, Service. Eight young participants undertook eight weeks of intensive training as front of house staff at some of the UK’s most renowned restaurants and hotels.
For one episode, cameras followed the trainees and Michel as they went behind the scenes of the hotel’s five-star service on one of the busiest weekends of the summer. And the programme featured one of the trainees serving a couple in the summer house in the image below.
I couldn’t resist also including this picture of a cute little owl called Archimedes who took pride of place in the reception area, greeting guests as they arrived!
Here he is though taking part in the falconry display which takes place every morning after breakfast.
I’d thoroughly recommend a visit to Bovey Castle if you’d like to recharge your batteries and get away from it all. Sitting on one of their comfy sofas in front of a roaring log fire and drinking cups of tea was such a treat!
