In this week’s Wedding Wednesday post, I’m delighted to feature a book review of How to Style Your Perfect Wedding. Published by DK, it includes beautiful floral designs by London based florists, Mark Welford and Stephen Wicks of Bloomsbury Flowers.
Brimming full of wedding inspiration, it’s the ideal book for newly-engaged couples. It starts off with styling ideas for seven different themes, from Garden Party and Rustic, to Metropolitan and Bohemian.
For each theme, you’ll find wonderful examples of floral decorations, place settings and stationery. And every chapter begins with a captivating mood board. This is my particular favourite for Garden Party!
And this is the stunning floral tablescape which appears in the book.
These arrangements below featuring roses and succulents are part of the Metropolitan theme. And in the book, there’s a step-by-step guide on how to create the rose designs.
And this bridal bouquet…well, I couldn’t resist sharing it with you. I LOVE the colour palette and combination of textures!
Mark and Stephen have beautifully translated all seven themes into stunning floral creations. And this post only features a handful of their designs.
In the second part of the book, there’s a section called ‘Your Wedding Guide’ with advice on everything from choosing your venue and caterer to speeches and even train length.
So, if you’re a bride-to-be, I’d definitely recommend putting this book at the top of your ‘To-Do’ list of things to buy. I’m sure it’ll provide you with lots of inspiration to create your very own perfect wedding.
P.S. The book is now on sale. And signed copies will be available to buy at Bloomsbury Flowers shops in Great Queen Street and Ham Yard in London.
