I’ve long been an admirer of cake designer Peggy Porschen and today, as it’s Wedding Wednesday, I thought I’d feature her floral-inspired iced wedding cakes…
Floral Avalanche
Mariella
Dainty Dots
Cascading Hydrangeas
Tiffany Pearl
Frilly Petals
Rose Explosion
Blossom Applique
Couture Lace
Lily of the Valley
Amelie
Aren’t they all stunning? It’s very hard to pick a favourite, but if I was really pushed, it would be one of the first two cakes…
They’re all baked in The Peggy Porschen Parlour in Belgravia in London.
Each design has its own customisation options, from the flavour of the cake and the filling, to the colour and detail of the design.
You can choose from Victoria sponge, lemon sponge, vanilla sponge, chocolate cake or fruit cake. And fillings include raspberry preserve, buttercream and chocolate ganache.
If you do choose a Peggy Porschen cake, you’ll be in very good company. Her cakes have graced many A-list events, including Kate Moss’s wedding to Jamie Hince and Stella McCartney’s wedding.
Alternatively, if you’d like to learn how to make your own wedding cake, you could take a course at Peggy’s Academy.
If you’d like to keep up-to-date with news from Peggy Porschen, the company is on Twitter and Facebook. Plus they’re on Pinterest.
