If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my Instagram Story over the weekend where I shared photos and videos from A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London. Taking place in the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, it’s one of my favourite events to attend to discover new up-and-coming florists.
There were a few people who’d exhibited the previous year and lots of new faces too. And one of them was Rowan from Rowan Blossom, pictured above. We’d connected a few months ago via Instagram and it was so lovely to finally meet in person!
I adored her stand and her natural floral designs…a gorgeous combination of flowers in a muted colour palette, with lots of different textures. And one of the stars of the show was the new ‘Butterfly Ranunculus’ in pale apricot and white, which she’d sourced from New Covent Garden Flower Market. Their petals have an almost luminous texture…just so special!

Just in case you’ve not seen them before, the Butterfly Ranunculus is the white flower towards the centre of the image below.
And this is the pale apricot variety of Butterfly Ranunculus, with a coral centre.
