On Saturday, I went to A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London. It’s an event that I love to visit, especially because of the fabulous florists who take part. And over the next month or so, on Wedding Wednesday, I’ll be featuring my photos of each of their stands. This year, instead of just featuring the floral designs on display, you’ll also see photos of the very talented people behind their creation.
We’re starting off with Vervain, run by India Hurst, who’s pictured below. I met India a couple of years ago when she attended a Tallulah Rose Flower School course. And it’s been wonderful watching her business develop since those early days. (By the way, my image above of one of India’s designs, which I featured on Instagram on Saturday, is my most-liked ever, with over 1,200+ likes!)
So much thought and attention-to-detail had gone into the stand…from the stunning pastel colour palette and hand-painted backdrop to the textured linens and spray-painted seed heads. What a fabulous combination of blooms too…Icelandic poppies, ranunculus, roses, narcissi, fritillaries, tulips, hyacinths, alliums, daffodils and spring blossom. I was completely blown away…!
So, I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s blog post. Do head over to the Vervain website to see more of India’s breath-taking floral designs. Social media wise, you can find her on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Oh…and by the way, India’s hosting the next One Day Bridal Course at The Tallulah Rose Flower School in Bath on April 20th. Simply click on this link for further details.
